WHITE WINES

"Bianco" or "Bianco Vergine"

A minimum of 20% of Tuscan Trebbiano grapes and up to 80% of Chardonnay, White Pinot, Grechetto, Grey Pinot grapes, alone or blended; other white grapes suitable for cultivation in the Tuscan region, can be used for the production of  this type of wine for up to a maximum of 15%.
Colour: pale yellow with greenish hues;
Aroma: neutral, characteristic, rich in a delicate and pleasant perfume;
Flavour: dry, with a slight bitter almond aftertaste;
Minimum Global Alcohol Content by Volume: 10%vol.

 

"Chardonnay"

A minimum of 85% of chardonnay grapes
Up to a maximum of 15% of other white grapes suitable for cultivation in the Tuscan region
Colour: pale yellow with greenish hues;
Aroma: characteristic, delicate;
Flavour: dry, harmonic and smooth;
Minimum Global Alcohol Content by Volume: 10.5%vol.

 

"Grechetto"

A minimum of 85% of "Grechetto" grapes 
Up to a maximum of 15% of other white grapes suitable for cultivation in the Tuscan region. 
Colour: pale yellow with greenish hues;
Aroma: characteristic, delicate;
Flavour: dry, harmonic sapid;
Minimum Global Alcohol Content by Volume: 10.5%vol.

 

Sparkling Wine

A minimum of 20% of Tuscan Trebbiano grapes and up to 80% of Chardonnay, White Pinot, Grechetto, Grey Pinot grapes, alone or blended; other white grapes suitable for cultivation in the Tuscan region, can be used to produce this wine, for up to a maximum of 15%.
Colour: pale yellow with greenish hues;
Aroma: neutral, characteristic, rich in a delicate and pleasant perfume;
Flavour: dry or slightly smooth, even with a slight almond aftertaste;
Maximum sugars: 45 g/l;
Minimum Global Alcohol content: 10% vol.;
Minimum Global acidity: 5,40 g/l
Froth: fine and persistent

 

Spumante

A minimum of 20% of Tuscan Trebbiano grapes and up to 80% of Chardonnay, White Pinot, Grechetto, Grey Pinot grapes, alone or blended; other white grapes suitable for cultivation in the Tuscan region, can be used to produce this wine, for up to a maximum of 15%.
Colour: pale yellow with greenish hues;
Aroma: neutral, characteristic, rich in a delicate and pleasant perfume;
Flavour: dry or slightly smooth, even with a slight almond aftertaste;
Maximum sugars: 45 g/l;
Minimum Global Alcohol content: 11% vol.;
Minimum global acidity: 5,80 g/l
Minimum net dry residue:14,0 g/l
Froth: fine and persistent

 

RED WINES

Red

A minimum of 50% of Sangiovese grapes.
A maximum of 50% of Cabernet, Merlot, Sirah grapes, alone or blended. Other red grapes suitable for cultivation in the Tuscan region can contribute to the production of this type of wine for up to a maximum of 15%.
Colour: bright ruby red, with a tendency towards garnet when aged;
Aroma: fruity, fragrant, fresh to the nose when young;
Flavour: sapid, lively, harmonic, fresh to the palate when young;
Minimum Global Alcohol Content by Volume: 11%vol.

 

Rosé

A minimum of 50% of Sangiovese grapes.
A maximum of 50% of Cabernet, Merlot, Sirah grapes, alone or blended. Other red grapes suitable for cultivation in the Tuscan region can contribute to the production of this type of wine for up to a maximum of 15%.
Colour: bright or pale rosy red;
Aroma: winey, fresh, fragrant; 
Flavour: aromatic, fresh to the palate;
Minimum Global Alcohol Content by Volume: 10.5%vol.

 

"Sangiovese"

A minimum of 85% of Sangiovese grapes
Up to a maximum of 15% of other red grapes suitable for cultivation in the Tuscan region can contribute to the production of this type of wine.
Colour: bright ruby red with a tendency towards garnet;
Aroma: winey, fruity, fragrant;
Flavour: sapid, lively, harmonic;
Minimum Global Alcohol Content by Volume: 11%vol.

 

VIN SANTO

"Vin Santo and Vin Santo Riserva"

A minimum of 50% of Tuscan Trebbiano and white Malvasia grapes, stand alone or blended together
Up to a maximum of 50% of other white grapes suitable for cultivation in the Tuscan region can contribute to the production of this type of wine.
Colour: from pale yellow, to amber or brown;
Aroma: ethereal, warm, characteristic;
Flavour: harmonic, velvety from dry to sweet;
Minimum Global Alcohol Content by Volume: 15%vol.
